The importance of reading classics
as many people say, reading classics plays a significant role to one's growing. because all of the classics are the positive results of wisdom. we can learn much knowledge and become more intelligent by reading them. especially, when we are during our growing time, it helps us get many right minds to reading more famous books.however, now people who enjoy reading those classical books are getting less and less. there are a lot of reasons for this phenomena. to begin with, there are many other leisure activities in the modern society, young men go to do these things instead of reading. what's more, many people prefer some other books to classics because they think classics are useless.
i think, we university men should take some effective actions to prevent the situation. we should read classics as many as possible in our spare time, and we shouldn't just scan those words and phrases over our minds but to use your head to think more about those.
Should Graduates Spend Much on Job Hunting?
Nowadays college graduates spend more and more money on job hunting. According to a recent survey, almost every graduate spends some money on finding a job. And clothing, transportation, resumes producing and training expense are the main aspects that cost them a lot of money.
As to this phenomenon, different people have different views. Some say it is necessary for graduates to spend money in producing embellished resumes and buying suitable clothes, which can give interviewers a good impression and increase their chance of success. However, others don’t think so. They argue that the high expenditure can increase their parents’ financial burden since most students have no regular income. Apart from that, the decorated resumes do little help to find a job because most HR managers pay more attention to skills.
In my opinion, there is nothing wrong for graduates to invest some money on job hunting. But they should bear in mind that it is their knowledge, skills as well as experience that matter a lot. So they must have a rational attitude toward what they should buy and how much money they should spend.
Honesty Is Gold
Honesty means speaking the truth and being fair and upright in act. He who lies and cheats is dis honest. Those who gain for tunes not by hard labour but by other means is dishonest. Honesty is a good virtue. If you are honest all the time, you'll be trusted and respected by others. A liar is always looked down upon and regarded as a black sheep by the people a round. Once you lie, people will never believe you even if you speak the truth.
However, in the tide of commodity economy today, it seems tha t more and more people believe in money at the sacrifice of honesty. To them, among such things as health, beauty, money, intelligence, honesty, reputation and talent, honesty is the only thing that can be cast away. They don't understand or pretend not to understand that honesty is the biggest fortune humans own, and that it is the prerequisite for doing everything well. I think these people are to be pitied.
In short, honesty is gold. Honest, your reputation will become great; dishonest, your name will be spoiled and your personality degraded. Therefore, we should never make such an excuse as "A little dishonesty is only a trifle thing." We should eradicate immediately the seed of dishonesty once it is sowed in our minds.
